This quarter's guest artist is Carol Wicklund. Much of her current work is inspired by nature, from microscopic lifeforms to the wildlife she sees from her studio along the Tippecanoe River.

Invitational Fiber Exhibition
Lisa and 11 other fiber artists have been invited to participate in an exhibition at the Kerrville Arts and Cultural Center in July. The Softer Side of Art will run from July 1- July 25, 2010.
New Gallery
Lisa has been invited to show her work at the Copper Shade Tree on an ongoing basis. The gallery, located in Round Top, Texas, has a wide array of functional and decorative art from Texas artists. The town is a destination for many music, art and antique events throughout the year and is a great place for a weekend getaway.

Batik Class
Lisa is teaching a half-day Soy Batik class for the Live Oak League of Arts this month. There are several openings in the workshop, so if you are interested in attending, contact Lisa. The workshop will be held on Saturday, May 22 from 9-12 at the Southwest School of Art & Craft.

New Workshop and DVD
Lisa has been working with Jane Dunnewold over the past year to perfect several techniques combining dyes and soy wax. They are introducing the process in workshops this summer and fall. In addition, they will have an instructional DVD on the process available in late July.
